YEC 2009

Thanks to Craig's parents being willing to watch the kids for an few extra days, we were able to help chaperone the youth's trip to the Youth Evangelism Conference in Macon. We were really excited about being a part of it. We found out that one of the speakers, Anson McMahon, spoke at a youth event our church held about 12 years ago. It was fun to hear him speak after such a long time.
We headed out right after lunch on Monday and sat in traffic for a while on the way down. Once we got down there we had just a little bit of time to check in to the hotel and grab some dinner before the conference began. The center was filled with 7000 people. It was an amazing excitement filling the arena. The two days were filled with some amazing worship led by Todd Agnew and the David Crowder Band. Our speakers, Anson and Ed Newton, really brought the Word in a great way.

Craig and I were blessed with the spare hotel room. We got to have a room all to ourselves. Now this is the way I like to chaperone trips!!

It was a great trip away. It was very quick, but well worth it!
