Long Awaited Update

Well, I was so efficient about blogging while I was on vacation, but once we all got back home, blogging has fell to the wasteside. I guess that's a pretty good sign that we've been busy. So, here are some of the things we've been doing. It'll take a few posts, but I know you'll want to read.

The day we returned from Nashville (and Craig returned from mission trip), we found an invitation for Trinity to attend a birthday party the next day. It was for one of her precious classmates and so we got all the things together for her party. It was a rodeo-themed party, so we had tons of "fun" figuring out her costume. I'm simply very thankful that we had the items she needed to be a cute little cowgirl. The party was held at a nearby farm and included pony rides and decorating horseshoes. Trinity had a great time seeing some of her friends from school that she hadn't seen in a while.

The following week included what we think was round 3 and 4 of being hit with Fifth's Disease. Kalyn and Trinity both had rounds of spots covering their bodies for little bits of times. They were worst after they had been in the sun, so it was kind of interesting to see the spots change from a vibrant red to fading to almost nothing within a few hours. Who knows?!? They didn't feel bad and didn't complain (about anything out of the ordinary) so we weren't too concerned about it.

Tuesday, we travelled to Craig's hometown to celebrate his mom's retirement. After 47 years and 10 months of faithful service to the city's clothing factory, she decided to turn in her notice. The facility had a large company-wide lunch for her during her last week. She had a wonderful time showing off the kids to all the people she worked with and the kids had fun seeing where "Gendy" worked.

Saturday, we celebrated Father's Day in Bowdon with Craig's family. We all had a great time playing and swimming in their pool. Kalyn and Xander were swimming/floating fools with their swim vests. Trinity is getting better, but is still a tad nervous when the water gets deep. Kalyn had a blast jumping from the diving board. Xander required us to hold his had to jump off (which is quite a workout to pull yourself up high enough to reach his hand). Trinity finally jumped off the board, but did borrow Kalyn's swim vest to do it. A great day!!

Charles Ray was given a new grilling set (for his new grill) and a set of coins for his birthday and Father's Day.

pool fun!!!
