Aquarium Part 2

As promised from my last post, here is our continued post about our trip to the Tennessee Aquarium last week. If you remember our trip to the aquarium in June, you may remember that the butterfly exhibit gave Xander quite a scare. He actually screamed quite a few times when he got close to a butterfly. So, how did he do on his second trip through it?
The first butterfly landed on my hand. I was even holding Xander and he didn't freak out a bit!!!

A bit later, he even held one on his own - this poor one had a broken wing and was actually being carried around by one of the volunteers.

This one loved Xander - it climbed up to his shoulder from his finger!!

While we were there, one of the employees came out with a box of butterflies that he was releasing into the exhibit. Trinity was one of the first ones to release a new butterfly.

Here's Kalyn receiving her butterfly to release.

Even Xander got his own butterfly to release.

Attempt #1 to release did not go well. The butterfly was too comfortable on Xander's finger.

Attempt #2 on the flower went a little better, but it still took a bit of coaxing.

At the end of the travels through the aquarium, we changed the kids into their swimsuits for some fun in the little creek that runs outside the aquarium. They had a blast splashing around.

Our kids rock!!

What a great day away!!
