First Fall Camping Part 2

This trip was going to be fun. Most of the people going either had never been camping, hadn't been camping with kids or hadn't been camping in a long time. We were excited about introducing this relaxing past time to our friends. Around mid-afternoon Friday, they began arriving.

Our first big kid event was a trip to the beach area. The kids had a blast splashing in the water and playing in the sand. Apparently the water wasn't too cold.

Or maybe it was ~

All the kids anxiously await the start of the walk around the campground

Dinner was the campout favorite of hot dogs over the fire. Here, Ivey, Craig, Kalyn and Marc cook their dinners. Yummy!!!

What a beautiful sunrise to wake up to

Saturday morning breakfast - pancakes (including a batch of blueberry ones) and lots of bacon

Group fishing -let's just saw that it's pretty obvious that no fish were caught, but the kids had lots of fun!!!

I had fun working with Xander and Trinity and their fishing
Kalyn took her fishing seriously - wading out almost to her knees to get the best spot

Xander and his good buddy Asher had fun sharing acorns they found along one our walks
Xander and his buddy, Sam go road fishing
Kalyn and just one of her "friends" from the weekend

What beautiful ways to end the day

Saturday night's kid picture (unfortunately, taken after Ivey and Gavin had left)

We had a great weekend!! We are already looking forward to our next camping trip!!
