With all the craziness that was in our house last week, Craig and I decided that we wanted to do something special for the kids. Overall, they had done pretty well with the week's events. After all, they've lost their downstairs playroom and their front room play area and their backyard due to all the water. Trinity asked if we could go to Chuck E. Cheese's. We weren't able to do that, but we decided to have a little pizza and game night at home.
After enjoying some pizza and watching a couple of Power Puff Girls episodes, we pulled out the Wii for some family competition. We played some tennis and baseball and had tons of laughs. Kalyn was so fun to watch - she would simply swing her controller and would inadvertently make some really good hits!
Trinity snapped a picture of me waiting for Kalyn to pitch me a ball in baseball.

Following the games, we headed out for some yummy ice cream at Bruster's. Kalyn and Xander are still small enough to enjoy the free scoop and Trinity had a gift card.
What a great end to an unexpectedly wild week!!
