Firework Festivities

Part of the fun of Craig's parent's house is that they have a pretty big plot of land (especially to those of us who only have about an acre of land) which is great for shooting off some small fireworks. Sam and Laurie were generous enough to stay late into the night to be able to enjoy the lightshow.

We began at dusk letting the kids shot off their own bottle rockets - with a bit of adult supervision and assistance. The kids had a blast doing it "on their own".
Poppers for all the kids!
As it got dark, we sat all the kids down and Craig and Sam began the show. Lots of sparks, lots of bangs and lots of "ooooooo"s and cheers!

checking out all the cool boxes of fireworks
(otherwise known as 15 names for the same 3 effects)

eagerly awaiting the start of the show

We finished with sparklers for all the kids. What a wonderfully amazing way to end the night!
pay no attention to the little man behind the ring of fire

this little light of mine, I'm goin' let it shine

strike a pose - and a sparkler

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!
