Auburn Buddies

Craig and I loved our time at Auburn. We made some wonderful friends that have truly stood the test of time. A huge blessing is that a lot of our friends married friends, so when we get together 95% of each other know each other. It's a great thing.

Last week, we got to get together with our friends Brooke, Joey, Jay and Frances. Brooke and Joey live in Alabama and we don't get to see them too often (however, we're getting used to seeing them more often lately), so we were excited about our evening out. We enjoyed a delicious and fun dinner at Mellow Mushroom. We got the special privilege of sitting in a huge plastic tree for our meal. We had a great time, but the small children who kept peering in the tree were a tad jealous.

An added bonus to our dinner was that we found out it was "magician and balloon night". There was a professional balloon sculptor going around with his balloons.

Being that we were celebrating Frances's birthday, she really wanted a balloon hat. Let's just say, you may need to be careful what you ask for ~

Yep, she's a star. But fear not, we all got our own hats! Joey was actually first to receive his hat and being a VERY good sport, Joey actually kept it on for a little while. I have to admit that after a little while, it became very hard to take anyone seriously during our conversations. I'm not sure why ~

Following dinner, we headed back to Jay's and Frances's home for a game of 80's Scene It. It was quite fun and since most of our questions had to do with music, Craig rocked on it. However, the girls mounted a great come from behind attack to win the game! Ya women!!! It was a blast. We love our friends!!
