Trinity's Active Day

All last week, Trinity was looking forward to Thursday. Once she knew what was on her schedule, she kept saying, "Mom, Thursday is going to be my active day." Here's what her day included.

During school, they had their Boosterthon Fun Run - a fundraiser for the school. Her job was to gather pledges for how many laps she could run during their 30 minute rally. She was ready to run Thursday morning. The lap cap was 35 laps (they were small laps - maybe 100 yards?) and she was determined to run all 35. (Last year, she completed 28 laps.) Craig, Xander I were there to support her as she started her run - Craig had to leave to pick up the girls from preschool. She did a great job - only stopping once for a break. She probably skipped the same amount of time that she actually ran. She was excited on each lap. How did she do? She completed all 35 laps. She even ran a few extra while the time winded down!! It was a fun hour of pep rally and run!!

Getting pumped up right before the run begins

Off she goes

Her teacher, Ms. Hunt marks off one of the completed laps

All laps are marked off and done!!!

Way to go, Trinity!!!!

Thursday night, she had her first practice in our church's basketball league. Yep, our little daughter is playing basketball. Actually, she come from a long line of female basketball players - I played in junior high, my mom played in high school (kind of) and my grandmother also played in school. So, it's in her blood. She learned about dibbling and some of the rules of the game. I know she'll have fun during the season.
