A Painfilled Weekend

This weekend was not the best day in our household. Let's just say there were lots of tears. As I mentioned in the Halloween blog, Xander ended up with a scrape on his knee from an encounter with a driveway.

Sunday, we arrived home from church. We all got out of the car and Craig and I headed inside to get lunch fixed. All of a sudden, we hear the car door close and then Kalyn scream. I knew immediately that she had gotten some part of her hand stuck. Craig ran out and opened the door and released her thumb. A blessing was that her thumb was so small that it actually fit into a small opening, but it still hurt and left a pretty little cut and a bruise for a couple of days.

Sunday afternoon, the kids were in the youth room while I was in handbells and Craig was leading praise band. I wasn't there, but the story involves Trinity's head, the corner of a chair and a little thing called gravity. Apparently, they were playing and then gravity wanted to jump in and Trinity fell, hitting the corner of her eye. She now has a lovely shade of purple covering her eyelid.

So, there were many tears throughout the weekend, but the kids were tough. They're all healing well, though.
