Auburn verses Wet Virginia

We love football season. There's just something special about a fall Saturday filled with stress, excitement, frustration and general college camaraderie around one team. This year, we've been able to bring out our purchase from last year - our own personal inflatable Aubie. Plus, we even had opportunities to put him out. Check him out -

We have some good friends that are very strong West Virginia fans. Usually it doesn't make a difference, but last year Auburn played (and lost to) WVU. Well, the rivalry was back this year, down on the plains of Auburn. A few weeks ago, Steve purchased a couple of tickets for he and Craig to attend as Craig's birthday gift. So, a little after lunch, Steve arrived at our house and the boys headed off to Auburn. Craig was looking forward to seeing the new campus, eating at Cheeburger Cheeburger and hopefully rolling Toomer's Corner (an Auburn tradition after a win).

About 15 minutes before kickoff, I received a call from Craig. He said, "We're in a tsunami!!" The game was delayed over an hour while the officials waiting for a complete deluge of water to pass over Jordan-Hare stadium. The stadium was evacuated while the rain poured down (except for the faithful students who weren't leaving for anything). It was a quite the weather delay.

After a painful first quarter, Auburn pulled out the victory. It was an amazing game, we could feel the energy through the TV. I love college football!!! Here's the video Craig made of their trip. (He's quite into the video making lately and I must say, he does a pretty good job!)
