The Secret's Announced

Friday morning, the kids woke up ready to start the day. We got them dressed in their Disney-themed shirts. Trinity even pointed out that everyone was wearing a Disney shirt - Xander in Donald Duck, Kalyn in Ariel and Trinity in Bambi. We headed down for breakfast and surprise (#1) - Mimi, Papa, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Ashley were there!! Hugs for everyone!!!

Breakfast was wonderful!! French toast, fresh fruit, individually made omelets, waffles, bacon, muffins. Yummy!!! What a great way to start the day.

We headed back to our room and gave Mom the privilege of telling the kids know our plans for the day (surprise #2). She gave them an option - we could go shopping at Wal-Mart, go to a movie or go to Disney. Trinity, being my talking-things-out child, clarified her answer for choosing Disney (as if she needed to) - "we've been to the movies, and we've been to Wal-Mart, like, 16,000 times". Xander was more excited about how we would get there - he really wanted to go in Papa's car. All about the transportation for him! They were excited, but I'm not sure if they really had any idea about what a visit to Disney really meant. They would soon find out the true magic of Disney.

We gave the kids the first round of souvenirs - mouse ear hats and their name tags with their trading pins.

We packed up all the travelling goodies - 2 umbrella strollers (thanks Ginger, for the suggestion of taking two and loaning us yours), drinks, flavored water packets, snacks and rain jackets- and began the journey to the park. We loaded the bus that picked us up right in front of our hotel, then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We pointed out the princess' castle as we closed in! We would not let the rain dampen our excitement.

Thankfully, I had purchased and picked up ticket the prior weekend, so we just scanned our tickets and headed in the park. We were ready for the magic to continue inside the park!
